Showcasing our full IVD portfolio in Brazil
PROTIA, a company specializing in in vitro diagnostic (IVD) medical devices, took part in the 58th Brazilian Congress of Clinical Pathology / Laboratory Medicine (CBPC/ML 2026). The congress was held in Florianópolis, Brazil, from September 15 to 18, and we used it to introduce our flagship products to the Latin American market.
CBPC/ML is Brazil’s leading congress for laboratory medicine and is organized by the Brazilian Society of Clinical Pathology / Laboratory Medicine (SBPC/ML).
Besides IVD companies, many of Brazil’s major reference laboratories and clinical labs take part, which makes it a good place to see how diagnostics in Latin America is changing.
This year, importers, distributors and diagnostics professionals from Peru, Argentina, Bolivia, Mexico and Uruguay, as well as Brazil, visited the PROTIA booth.
PROTIA’s IVD Solutions on Display
At one booth we showed our full IVD portfolio, covering allergy, food intolerance, autoimmunity, antimicrobial susceptibility and immune status.
✔ Allergy-Q 128 / 192D
- A multiplex allergy test kit that quantitatively measures allergen-specific IgE in serum, for many allergens at once
- Our flagship product, recognized for its accuracy and cost-efficiency and built on PROTIA’s patented parallel-line multiplex technology
✔ PROTIA Food IgG 96, 128
- A delayed food intolerance test that quantitatively measures IgG specific to about 120 foods in serum
✔ PROTIA ANA Profile 18
- An autoimmune disease panel that detects 18 autoantigens on a single strip
✔ PROTIA Q-AST
- A rapid antimicrobial susceptibility testing system that uses capacitance analysis to give susceptibility results for 40 antibiotics in 4 hours
✔ IMSAFE Saliva
- A non-invasive immune check that measures IgA levels in saliva
Insights into the Brazilian Diagnostics Market
In Brazil, hospitals usually don’t install expensive analyzers of their own. Samples are collected and sent to reference laboratories, which run high-volume testing and report the results.
In this setting, multiplex tests that cover many parameters in a single run are especially efficient.
The Allergy-Q series, which checks far more allergens per test than the allergy tests commonly used there, drew a particularly strong response. Food IgG and IMSAFE Saliva also brought in many inquiries.
All of the Portuguese-language brochures we prepared for local visitors were handed out during the congress.
PROTIA’s Growing Global Presence
Known for accuracy and testing efficiency, the PROTIA Allergy-Q series is exported to more than 75 countries through over 85 international distributors.
Following CBPC/ML, we plan to use Brazil, a country of 200 million people, as a base for expanding faster across Latin America.
PROTIA, Reaching Further
CBPC/ML 2026 confirmed the competitiveness and potential of PROTIA products in Latin America.
We will pursue product registration in Brazil and work more closely with importers, distributors and reference laboratories. We will also keep delivering accurate, efficient IVD solutions for more countries and healthcare settings.
