– Expanding Its Diagnostic Portfolio from Quantitative Dog Allergy Testing to Large Animal Immune POCT –
Protia participated in DeutscheVET 2025, held in Dortmund, Germany from May 16 to 17, and showcased its latest diagnostic solutions for companion and large animals.
Among the highlights was ‘ANITIA Canine IgE’, a quantitative allergy test kit for dogs that measures 125 allergens, including food and environmental sources. Utilizing Line Blot technology, the kit provides numerical values for each allergen-specific reaction, supporting more accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Protia also introduced allergy test kits for cats and horses, offering a multi-species diagnostic portfolio. Additionally, the company presented a point-of-care (POCT) solution that quantitatively measures IgG levels in colostrum or blood of cattle and horses. This test is designed to help detect and prevent Failure of Passive Transfer (FPT) in newborn animals, and has been recognized for its practicality in large animal farms and veterinary practice.
An integrated diagnostic system linked with Protia’s automated devices was also demonstrated at the booth. The efficient workflow—from testing to result printing—can be completed within four hours, making it a highly accessible solution for small- and mid-sized veterinary clinics.
Protia will continue to expand its multi-species diagnostic portfolio—ranging from companion to large animals—and strengthen its presence in the global veterinary diagnostics market with proven technology and trust.
