According to the preliminary operating results disclosed by PROTIA Inc. (303360) on January 26, 2026, the company’s revenue exceeded KRW 15.1 billion in 2025, while operating profit reached KRW 3.7 billion, marking its highest-ever performance. Annual revenue for 2025 totaled KRW 15.12 billion, up 43.8% from the previous year. Operating profit reached KRW 3.73 billion, with an operating margin of 24.7%, representing a 148.9% increase compared with the previous year. In addition, profit before income tax amounted to KRW 4.23 billion, up 81.1% year on year.
The company cited solid growth in its core allergy diagnostic products business as the main driver of its improved performance. Sales of human allergy diagnostic products increased significantly in both domestic and overseas markets, while sales of diagnostic instruments rose by more than 80% year on year, driving overall revenue growth. In particular, the company expects the sharp increase in domestic and overseas sales of diagnostic instruments to further expand sales of diagnostic kits. In overseas markets, exports increased primarily in Russia, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, and the Middle East, while the company expanded its agent network in South America and Africa.
According to PROTIA Inc., the number of countries to which it exported reached 80 in 2025, while the number of overseas agents exceeded 90.
In particular, the agreement with a Canadian agent is significant in that it secured a foothold for entry into the North American market. The company also significantly expanded its global export channels by securing multiple agents in Africa and South America, regions where market entry had previously been slow.
Sales of diagnostic instruments, which may serve as a leading indicator of revenue from the following year onward, also increased significantly in 2025. As the diagnostic instruments are specialized for PROTIA Inc.’s diagnostic reagent tests, increased instrument sales lead directly to subsequent diagnostic reagent sales, laying the foundation for a substantial increase in revenue in 2026.
During the first half of 2025, PROTIA Inc. obtained regulatory approval for PROTIA Allergy-Q 192D, a premium product capable of simultaneously testing for 176 allergens, including drug and chemical allergens. The company began supplying the product to the market in July 2025, where it received a strong response in Korea. In addition, the company exported and launched in Europe an antimicrobial susceptibility diagnostic product incorporating the world’s first capacitance measurement method and is currently discussing additional full-scale export agreements.
“The expansion of sales of diagnostic instruments, along with allergy diagnostic products, contributed significantly to the improvement in performance and is expected to drive future revenue growth,” said Lim Kuk-jin, CEO of PROTIA. “By continuously developing and supplying new products and entering new markets, we expect to continue improving profitability as well as expanding the scale of our business.”
