Joint Participation in AAEP 2025 Expands Export Opportunities for Innovative Korean Companies
Korea Racing Authority and Three Innovative SMEs Join AAEP Trade Show in the United States, Accelerating the Global Expansion of Korea’s Equine Industry
The Korea Racing Authority (KRA), chaired by Jeong Gi-hwan, jointly participated with innovative Korean small and medium-sized enterprises in the 2025 American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) Trade Show, held in Denver, United States, from December 7 to 9. The initiative aimed to promote the global expansion of Korea’s equine industry and strengthen the international competitiveness of domestic technology companies.
Marking its 71st edition, the AAEP Trade Show is the world’s largest professional event dedicated to equine health and veterinary medicine, attracting approximately 9,000 equine veterinarians and industry professionals from around the world. The event, held at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado, serves as a major global platform showcasing the latest technologies, equipment, and products in equine veterinary medicine.
At the trade show, the KRA operated a joint promotional pavilion with three innovative Korean companies: PROTIA, PostBio, and Tgel Bio.
PROTIA showcased ANITIA Equine IgE, a diagnostic product capable of simultaneously testing for 60 equine allergens. PostBio presented the XQ Station, a point-of-care testing (POCT)-based PCR diagnostic system designed for the rapid on-site detection of infectious diseases in horses. Tgel Bio introduced ez, a temperature-responsive hydrogel developed to extend the pain-relief effects of local anesthetics.
Through the exhibition, Korea’s independently developed equine healthcare and veterinary technologies were introduced to the global market. The participating companies also engaged in active and substantive business discussions with international buyers.
Through this joint participation, the KRA aims to enhance the international competitiveness of Korea’s equine industry, increase global awareness of Korean equine products, and establish a sustainable export model based on public-private cooperation.
“Participating alongside private-sector companies in one of the world’s most prestigious equine health and veterinary exhibitions represents more than simply attending a trade show. It is a strategic step toward building an international brand for Korea’s equine industry and expanding its export foundation,” said KRA Chairman Jeong Gi-hwan.
“We expect Korean companies with strong technological capabilities to achieve meaningful results in overseas markets through this opportunity,” he added.
